According to Mariano Higes, leader of a team of research scientists in Guadalajara, the mystery of the disappearing bees has been solved.

Planet Ark has the story of the discovery of an Asian parasite, nosema ceranae, being found in bees in North America and Europe. The scientists believe the parasite may be behind the recent phenomenon called Colony Collapse Disorder that has been widely experienced in the U.S. over the past few years.
