Today president Bush nominated Robert Zoellick to replace Paul Wolfowitz as head of the World Bank. Both men, along with Donald Rumsfeld, James Woolsey, and Richard Armitage were signatories to an open letter to president Clinton in 1998 seeking an American invasion of Iraq.

After Bush took office in 2001, many of the Project for the New American Century Neoconservatives found homes in the Bush Administration and started working toward fulfilling their dream.

PNACs ambitions spread far beyond Iraq. Throughout the Clinton presidency, PNAC plotted and schemed ways to bring about a 'Pax Americana'
